Santo Domingo, Thursday, June 12, 2008.-The company Industrias Nacionales (INCA) recently published the book “60 years built: memoirs in the construction of the nation”, in the midst of its 60 year anniversary celebration.
This book of memories in the construction of the Dominican Republic includes the most important historical aspects of the history of construction in the country and its association with the development of INCA.
The work includes the contributions of a distinguished group of arquitects, who have collected the information and photographs in order to show the path the Dominican construction has taken through these six decades. This constitutes a valuable contribution from INCA in the literary, educational, and cultural aspect of the dominincan nation.
The distinguished arquitect José Enrique del Monte presented this valuable work, which for several months he was in charge of editing. Mr. Francisco García, president of Industrias Nacionales (INCA), pronounced the speech at the activity where he akcnowledged his clients and relatives for the support offered during these six decades of hard work.
Francisco García, with the engineer Carlos Valiente, vice-president of INCA, and the engineer José Velazco, Commercial Director of INCA handed awards to the clients that through all these history supported all of their initiatives. These clients are: Miriam Pimentel (Ferretería El Progreso); Rafael Hernández (Centro Hierro Rafa); Bernardo Abreu (Comercial 2000); Fulgencio Morel (Ferretería Ochoa); Sebastián Mera (Mercantil del Caribe); Manuel González (Ferretería Bellón); Martha, Ángel, Fernando y Luis García (Ferretería Americana); Benjamín Toral (Ferretería Toral); Manuel González (Manuel Fernández González), Olaf Kosmoll (Almacén del Oeste), y David Muñoz y Claudio Alonso (Cougar Plastics).
García took advantage of the ocassion to inaugurate and to put at disposal the new department of ferrules, which will offer a service with new, modern, and fast machinery that cut and bend steel rods with accuracy and precision. “Beginning with rolled wire rods, with no waste, we manufacture your ferrules with your specifications and we deliver it in a few hours”, he said.
Garcia pointed out that these are important improvements in the saving of steel, cleaning, and the speed of construction. “Sen d us your structural plan for your building and we deliver your rods bent, cut, and ready to be installed”, he added. Likewise, he announced the progress of the second laminating mill for angles, flats, and rods, which is expected to duplicate the production of lamination products by the end of the year 2009.
In the event, the book “Electrically welded mesh handbook” was also placed in circulation. It includes a complete technical description and conversión tables from rods to electrically welded mesh, which constitutes an important advance in construction technics.
At the end of the event, the atendees made a tour around the new facilities with the executives of INCA in order to look at the new ferrule machines, where expert were able to explain how they work. After this, they enjoyed an exquisite toast.
